Love Brad Biophotonic!

Brad Biophotonic is actually one of my favourite lines because it soothes irritation and always feels like a cozy blanket on my face. This along with the Sea Purify cleanser, Anti-Fatigue Mist and Ultra Elastin moisturiser have definitely made a difference in reducing stress-related breakouts and dryness. This does smell a bit like soy sauce, likely due to the bio-fermentation process all Brad Biophotonic products go through.

Does nothing for my skin

I was initially quite excited to try this especially since it contains MSM which is a quite new ingredient in latest luxury skincare that aims to lighten hyperpigmentation and the like. I was initially concerned about the inclusion of Phenoxyethanol as an ingredient of this product (some studies have shown that it can cause dermatitis, worsening of eczema, reproductive toxicity and neurotoxicity) but seeing that it is last on the ingredient list, I figured it wouldn't be in a large enough dose to cause any of the side effects people would be concerned about.  So I purchased it anyway, especially since the packaging looks so sleek.   Fast forward a few months, and I can safely say that this has done absolutely nothing for my skin.  My hyperpigmentation is still as obvious as ever.  In addition, my pH testing strips arrived today and guess what - this has a pH of a whopping 7.5 (note that I use "whopping" loosely.  I am well aware that a pH of 7.5 is loosely considered neutral but I would prefer not to have products leaning towards alkalinity in my skincare routine).  Neutral pH is 7, and the skin's acid mantle is optimal at an acidic pH of 5.5.  Kerry of Skin & Tonics has a good explanation of why skincare should be acidic (in short, it's to preserve the acid mantle) and how long-term daily use of alkali products can permanently alter the skin's pH to alkali, providing a perfect comfort zone for bacteria, dry skin, infection, acne and the like.  So yes, this, is out the window. Oh, and it burns a hole in your pocket... Would not recommend.  Save your money.

brad ace + msm serum

It comes in a black glass bottle which is good as the black bottle would protect the serum from sunlight. Product wise, ive just tried the serum and finds that it makes my skin super soft upon application.  My skin absorb the serum very fast. No sticky feel. Used this together with the ultra elastin cream which works well together. Skin looks matt and soft. No oily or sticky feel. Will give an updated review after trying for a period of time. So far so gd.. Worth the try..  =)

Nothing special

I use this every morning/day under my moisturizer. After almost half year of using it, I didnt think it did anything special for my skin thus I don't think this is worth the price. In fact, I got it during sales. Still, I won't be getting it anymore.
